Dell India launches EqualLogic PS 5000 Series

Hyderabad, May 29: Dell India today announced tha launch and delivery of next-generation iSCI storage area network (SAN) arrays - the Dell EqualLogic PS 5000 Series. "We are committed to simplifying IT, and EqualLogic will help us realise that vision for our customers worldwide," Dell Chairman and CEO Michael Dell said, adding, ''Together, Dell and EqualLogic will deliver storage and server virtualisation solutions that enable customers of any size to build resilient, flexible datacentres.'' Dell EqualLogic PS5000 series could deliver advanced storage functionality, simultaneous scaling of performance with capacity and enterprise-class management for an upfront price - eliminating up sells and hidden licensing fees.

''Networked Storage has been too complex for too long. Dell EqualLogic helps solve that problem,'' Dell India Enterprise Solutions Group Director Pallab Talukdar said in a release here. "This is virtualised, consolidated storage that is self-managing, affordable and easy to use. We're automating complex tasks, enabling fast and flexible provisioning, while seamlessly integrating into the existing IT network. That's simplifying IT and this is the future of storage," he added.
