Congress enrolls foreigners in village e-roll

Aizawl, May 29(UNI) The Congress at the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC) has allegedly included several foreign nationals in the village electoral roll in a bid to ensure victory.

The Congress-led council has compelled the electoral registration officer of the village council election to enroll more than 90 foreign nationals.

Meanwhile, 622 genuine voters with EPIC have been deleted from the roll, a communique of Chakma district MNF said here today.

Those allegedly deleted from the e-roll mainly belonged to the MNF, the source said.

The MNF conducted a public procession at Kalamanagar, the Chakma district capital, yesterday in protest against the 'gross violation' of the constitution.

A memorandum demanded stoppage of all electioneering process and immediate rectification of the matters to the chief executive member (CEM) of CADC .
