Rains likely in North-East India

Pune, May 28 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.

They are also likely in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, coastal Karnataka, Kerala, lakshadweep, few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, south Konkan, Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar, isolated places in Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarkhand, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, north Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbhaa and Chattisgarh.

Mainly dry weather will prevail in south Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

Heat wave conditions prevailed in some parts of south coastal Andhra Pradesh. Hot day conditions prevailed in isolated places of coastal Tamil Nadu. Day temperatures were appreciably to markedly above normal in Assam, Meghalaya and some parts of coastal Tamil Nadu. They were above in Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Sub-Himalayan West Bangal, Saurastra, north Konkan, Marathwada, south Chattisgarh, some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, south Madhya Maharashtra and Vidarbha.

They were appreciably to markedly below normal in east Uttar Pradesh, northwest Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir and were below normal in some parts of Bihar. They were normal in rest of the country.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Assam, Meghalaya, many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, few places in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Orissa, west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalseema, coastal, north interior and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Mainly dry weather prevailed in the Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Vidarbha, Gujarat, Konkan, Goa, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.
