New political party launched

Jalandhar, May 28 (UNI) A new political outfit named People's Party was today launched from here.

While addressing a press conference, party president Joginder Singh Mattoo said that the party would work in providing basic amenities to the downtrodden strata of the society. The party would soon release its 11-point programme in the public, he added.

On the occasion, the party president appointed Sukhdev Singh Sidhu as general secretary and Avtar Singh Dulike and Sakatar Singh Khalra as vice presidents of the party.
