MPs pay tributes to Savarkar on his 125th birth anniversary

New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Several Parliamentarians led by Leaders of Opposition L K Advani and Jaswant Singh and Minister of State rptg State for Parliamentary Affairs Minister V Narayanasamy paid floral tributes to Vinayak Damodar Savarkar today on the occasion of his 125th birth anniversary in Central Hall of Parliament.

Among the MPs who paid homage to Savarkar included Sushma Swaraj, S S Ahluwalia, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, and Shahnawaz Hussain and several former MPs. Lok Sabha Secretary General PDT Acharya and Rajya Sabha Secretary General V K Agnihotri also paid floral tributes.

A booklet profiling Savarkar has been brought out by the Lok Sabha Secretariat in the Hindi and English languages.
