Mobile SMS comes handy for Gujjars, Raje

Jaipur, May 28 (UNI) Reaching out to the masses through SMS on mobile has come handy, during the ongoing Gujjar agitation, to Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje as well as the agitators.

Chief Minister Raje who had earlier made appeals through print and electronic media to the Gujjar agitators, for maintaining peace during their protest, has now found useful mobile network for sending SMS to renew her appeal.

Peace messages were sent today on different mobile networks on behalf of the Chief Minister.

Gujjar activists and supporters also utilised the SMS service to demand resignations from Gujjar MLAs/ministers from all parties including ruling BJP in protest against the government's failure in conceding to the community's demand of ST status.

These mobile SMS were reportedly received by several Gujjar MLAs and other elected people's representatives.
