Mob disrupts road to protest murder

Hajipur, May 28 (UNI) An irate mob today disrupted traffic on the busiest Hajipur-Muzaffarpur highway for several hours after a bank staffer was murdered at the Sadar police station area in Vaishali district late last night.

Police said a bank employee was gunned down by unidentified miscreants near Birendra Singh College under Sadar police station area.

''The culprits managed to escape and the locals informed the police when they saw the body this morning,'' sources said.

Later, the mob went on a rampage, disrupting the road for several hours.

Traffic flow on the highway was restored after the district administration reached the spot and convinced the people to lift the blockade, the sources added.
