New Delhi, May 28 (UNI) Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd today said its net profit for the quarter ended March 2008 has declined 13.4 per cent to Rs 221.10 crore as compared to Rs 255.23 crore for the corresponding quarter last year.

The company said in a statement that its total income for Q4FY08 increased 15.1 per cent to Rs 3,175.45 crore from Rs 2,758.83 crore for the same period a year ago.

Its net profit for the year ended March 2008 has increased 1.45 per cent to Rs 1,103.37 crore from Rs 1,087.58 crore last fiscal.

Its FY08 total income jumped 14.2 per cent to Rs 11,671.64 crore whereas it was Rs 10,221.24 crore last fiscal.

The Group's net profit for the year ended March 2008 grew nearly five per cent to Rs 1,571.12 crore as compared to Rs 1,497.15 crore for the year ended March 2007.

Its FY08 total income increased 36.8 per cent to Rs 24,445.29 crore from Rs 17,868.93 crore last fiscal.

The company's Board of Directors has also recommended a dividend of 115 per cent, aggregating to Rs 11.50 per equity share, having the face value of Rs 10 each.
