Mayawati asks govt officials to inspect work personally

Lucknow, May 28 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati today instructed senior government officials to personally visit areas every month and inspect implementation of the government schemes of their respective departments.

Ms Mayawati asked the officials to work hard to ensure that the benefits of such schemes reach the comman man.

The CM also directed the heads of various departments to ensure quality in developmental works, sources said.

A letter to this effect has been sent by state chief secretary Atul Kumar Gupta to all departments.

Ms Mayawati further warned of stringent action against guilty officers in case of any laxity.
