Europeans fancy soccer more than sex!

Melbourne, May 28 : It seems that nothing can deter British soccer fans from religiously following their favourite sport - not even sex!

A new survey, sponsored by one of the backers of the upcoming Euro 2008 championships, has revealed that half of the European soccer fans would any day opt to watch important matches than have sex.

However, the results of the poll of 2,000 soccer supporters are not the same in case of individual countries, reports the Daily Telegraph.

While Spanish fans, at 72 percent, were found to have the largest majority of those preferring to watch soccer to making love. And this was despite their country not having much of success in the game.

On the contrary Italy fans were not the ones to let go of sex for soccer at 25percent, maintaining their reputation as Latin lovers.

Other findings of the poll indicated that 60 percent of those who polled declared that football was like a religion to them.
