Mumbai, May 28 (UNI) Edible oils and key seeds prices today maintained an upward trend on bulk consumers and retailers demand, induced by firm advice from producing centres, traders at the Bombay Commodity Exchange (BCE) said here.

In oils (per ten kgs) groundnut raw, kardi and sesame received good buying support from local dealers in face of lesser stocks arrivals from producing centres, mainly Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and some northern regions. However, sunflower expeller refined, copra and rice bran varieties advanced by rs five each on renewed demnad from bulk consumers.

But rapessed refined and its expeller oils declined by Rs five each on thin demand from local dealers and better stocks.

In seeds (per quintal), kardiseed and nigerseed grades advanced by Rs 25 and Rs 100 respectively on lack of offers by stockists in view of lesser stocks supply from millers.

But castorseed Bombay, Disha and Hyderabad varieties declined by Rs five, Rs five and Rs 50 resepctively on heavy offers by stock-holders in view of bumber stocks at the domestic markets, traders added.
