CM urges for national level Dairy
Mumbai, May 28 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today urged the Cooperative Milk Federation to table a proposal for formation of a national level Dairy Science and Rural Development Institute.
Mr Deshmukh was speaking at a meeting of Cooperative Milk Federation here.
The Institute would be developed on the lines of Indian Institute of Rural Management, Anand, and Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. The Institute will also offer graduation and post graduation courses, the Chief Minister said.
He said orders have been given to Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation for making land available for the vending machines on the lines of Aarey scheme.
Mr Deshmukh has also asked the Federation to make efforts for increasing the marketing of dairy products.
