Celebrations for Republic Nepal begins

Kathmandu, May 28: Celebrations have begun across the Nepal as residents are welcoming the declaration of republic.

According to Nepalnews, people welcome the 'Republic Nepal' at a morning rally organised by the civil society activists and the human rights groups through Basantapur to Baneshwor. The rally converged outside Birendra International Convention Centre (BICC) from where the Constituent Assembly (CA) will declare Nepal a republic. Civil society organisations are also holding rallies in major cities in Nepal including Pokhara and Biratnagar.

On Tuesday, Nepal Bar Association (NBA), the umbrella forum of lawyers in the country, organized festival of lights on premises of its central office here to mark the declaration of republic in the country.
