JD(S) expels gen secy

Kozhikode, May 26 (UNI) The Janata Dal (Secular)-Surendra Mohan Faction today expelled Party General Secretary Adv George Thomas for opposing its proposed merger with the Samajwadi Party.

The action was taken against Mr Thomas by party Kerala State President M P Verendra Kumar, MP, for issuing public statements opposing the move after the State Council unanimously decided in favour of the merger, said a party release here.
