Top HM militant killed in Doda

Jammu, May 25 (UNI) A Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) militant was shot dead by security forces in Marmat forest of Doda in Jammu and Kashmir today.

Acting on a tip-off, troops of 10 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) killed HM section commander Kaiftullah during a search operation at Bari Marmat in Doda at 1600 hrs, Defence spokesperson Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.

One AK rifle and three magazines were recovered from the site of encounter, he said.
