Rajnish Rai found guilty, declared failed in all Subjects
Ahmedabad, May 25 (UNI) Rajnish Rai, an IPS officer, who was accused of copying during his first year LLB exam, was today found guilty by the Gujarat University Reforms Committee.
The committee has recommended that Mr Rai should be declared failed in all the subjects for year 2007-2008. The committee, in its meeting here, also recommended action against the principal and supervisor of Siddharth Law College, Gandhinagar.
Mr Rai, who is presently posted as Dy Inspector General with the State Crime Records Bureau, was accused of copying during his LLB examination at the Siddharth Law college in Gandhinagar last month.
The 1992 batch IPS officer has many sensational cases to his credit. He had arrested D G Vanzara and two other IPS officers in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh fake encounter case.
