PM undergoes cataract operation at AIIMS

{image-pm manmohan singh_25052008.jpg news.oneindia.in}New Delhi, May 25: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh underwent an eye surgery early this morning at the Rajendra Prasad Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences here for cataract removal in the right eye.

Dr Singh, 75, underwent an intra-ocular lens implantation after a brief surgical procedure. The Prime Minister has since then returned home from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), an official release said. According to the doctors, Dr Singh can resume his normal work from tomorrow.
