One drowns, another dies in road accident in Kashmir
Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) A person drowned and another was killed while two others, including a Mumbai resident, were injured in separate road accidents in the Kashmir valley overnight, official sources said today.
They said 26-year-old Manzoor Hussain, a resident of Bhar Nala, Udhampur, drowned in Charsoo nallah at Awantipora in south Kashmir district of Pulwama.
Later, police fished out his body, they added.
In a separate incident, a man identified as Bashir Ahmad died at Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura after he was hit by a vehicle at Magam in north Kashmir.
Sources said one Kamal Makta, wife of Amar Lal, resident of Mumbai, was injured when a car in which she was travelling from Jammu to Srinagar dashed against a tree near Batwara here. She was hospitalised.
A motorcyclist was injured after he collided with a vehicle at Ajas. He was admitted to hospital, they added.
