Kharge expresses shock over Dharam Singh's defeat

Gulbarga, May 25 (UNI) Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mallikarjun Kharge today expressed shock and sadness over the defeat of former Chief Minister and senior Congress leader N Dharam Singh in the Karnataka Assembly elections.

''I am not only shocked but also saddened over the defeat of Mr Singh,'' he told newspersons here.

To a question, he said the Congress was ready to sit in the opposition and would not try to form the government though the BJP had not secured a clear majority.
