Karnataka: Haliyal receives 5 cm rain

Bangalore, May 25: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at a few places over Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (CM): Haliyal 5; Sambre, Davanagere 3 each; Honavar, Savanur, Ilkal, M.M.Hills, Balehonnur 2 each; Mulki, Ranebennur, Hungund, Napoklu, Tarikere, Bangalore City 1 each.

Maximum Temperatures rose at many places over Coastal Karnataka and changed little over Interior Karnataka. They were appreciably above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka and were normal over Interior Karnataka.

Gulbarga recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.9 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Tuesday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka; North Interior Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature likely to be around 33 degree celsius.
