Srinagar, May 25 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police have so far failed to make any breakthrough to trace 4-year-old Mehran Lateef, missing from old city since May 13 afternoon.

Official sources said despite announcing a reward of Rs 5,000 for providing any information about the missing child, police remained clueless so far.

They said a special team was formed to investigate the mysterious disappearance of the child outside his Habba Kadal residence. But no breakthrough was achieved, they added.

Police searched almost all vacant migrant houses, bushes and drains in the area.

Mehran went missing when he was playing outside this residence after his return from school.

The parents of Mehran has appealed to President, currently on a five-day tour to Jammu and Kashmir, and Chief Minster Ghulam Nabi Azad to intervene so that their son is reunited with them again.
