Bhajan Lal wins Adampur seat, Cong wins 2 seats in Haryana

Chandigarh, May 25 (UNI) Congress today secured victory in two of the three Assembly seats in Haryana, while former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal of Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) won the Adampur constituency seat in the state where bypolls were held on May 22.

Mr Lal defeated his nearest rival Ranjit Singh of the Congress by a margin of 26,188 votes, while former Finance Minister Sampat Singh of the INLD came third.

Mr Lal has been re-elected from this constituency after being disqualified under the anti-defection law for launching HJC in December last year while being in the Congress.
