Bhajan Lal leading by 14,000 votes in Adampur

Chandigarh, May 25: Former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal of Haryana Janhit Congress (HJC) was leading by over 14,000 votes in Adampur assembly seat in Haryana after the third round of counting today.

Mr Lal was leading over his nearest rival Ranjit Singh of the Congress while Mr Sampat Singh of the INLD was trailing at the third position. Mr Bhajan Lal is trying his luck again from this constituency after being disqualified under the anti-defection law for launching HJC while being in the Congress. In Indri, another Haryana constituency, where bypoll was held on May 22, Congress nominee Bhimsen Mehta was leading over his nearest HJC rival Rakesh Kamboj by over 5,000 votes after the tenth round of counting. Mr Kamboj was also disqualified under the anti-defection law for joining HJC while being in the Congress.
