Woman attempts to kill 3 daughters and commit suicide

Hooghly, May 24 (UNI) A woman today attempted to kill her three daughters and commit suicide by consuming poison at the Goalpara area of Nakunda village under Goghat police station in this district.

Arambagh Sub-Divisional Police Officer Swapan Bagchi said one of the daughters died while the mother and two other daughters were admitted to the Arambagh Sub-Divisional Hospital in a critical condition.

Police suspected a family feud to be the reason for the murder and suicide attempts, the SDPO said.
