Two members of family killed in car mishap

Phagwara, May 24 (UNI) Two members of a family were killed and four others critically injured when a car in which they were travelling dashed against a tree near Goraya on the national highway yesterday.

The deceased was identified as Shiv Kumar and his uncle Ravi Kumar who were killed on the spot. Their bodies were sent to the civil hospital for postmrtem examination. The injured were admitted in a local hospital.

All of them were going to Dera Radha Swami at Beas to pay obeisance after the marriage of the deceased Shiv Kumar.

According to reports received here, the car driver lost control when a speeding bus hit the car from rear side and the car dashed against a roadside tree.

Police registered a case.
