Rains likely in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim

Pune, May 24 (UNI) Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and north interior Karnataka.

Heat wave conditions prevailed at isolated places in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Day temperatures were appeciably above normal in Assam, Meghalaya, in some parts of Kashmir and in remaining parts of coastal Andhra Pradesh. They were above normal in Manipur, in some parts of Saurashtra and Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra and south Tamil Nadu. They were appreciably to markedly below normal in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, in some parts of West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, west Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and north Tamil Nadu. They were below normal in some parts of east Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Himachal Pradesh, south interior Karnataka, and at many places in Bihar, east Uttar Pradesh and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers have also occurred at a few places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, west Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Gangetic West Bengal, Orissa, Jharkhand, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh, Chattisgarh, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and Kerala.
