Police official suspended for assaulting woman

Thiruvananthapuram, May 24 (UNI) A police official attached to the Attingal police station, near here, was suspended for allegedly assaulting a woman.

According to official sources, Sub Inspector, N Vijayan had allegedly outraged the modesty of a woman, when she approached him with a complaint.

Following a complaint from the woman, South Zone IG Arunkumar Sinha suspended Vijayan.

The police have registered a case against him, sources added.
