Nitish directs authorities to implement Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojna
Patna, May 24 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today directed District Magistrates to implement the 'Mukhya Mantri Awas Yojna' effectively to ensure that the flood-affected people could benefit from the scheme.
In a review meeting of the scheme through video conferencing with 22 District Magistrates, Mr Kumar said the state government had decided to reconstruct houses, damaged during the flood in North Bihar last year.
He said Rs 25,000 each would be provided by the state government for construction of the pucca houses against the hutments and thatched houses damaged in flood fury.
''Digital videography will be carried out of all the damaged houses to ensure that benefits of the scheme percolate to the flood victims, '' Mr Kumar said adding the state government had taken loans from the International funding agencies to complete the ambitious endeavour.
