NFDC to start functioning after July 15
Kolkata, May 24 (UNI) The National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) will resume functioning for Indian film talents after July 15, Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi said here today.
Inaugurating the NFDC retrospective and Satyajit Ray Film and Television Institute (SRFTI) Community Radio (90.4 FM) at SRFTI campus, the Minister also said the SRFTI would also be strengthened in all spheres of its activity.
''The sky is the limit for SRFTI's development,'' the Minister asserted.
Mr Dasmunsi stated that by the end of this year, the SRFTI would hold a festival of top 20 Indian contemporary films and top ten contemporary international films in Kolkata.
Renowned film maker and Chairman of SRFTI Buddhadev Dasgupta, Mr Basu Chatterjee, eminent film Director and former Chairman of SRFTI, Mr Swapan Mallik, Director of SRFTI and several film personalities were also present, among others, on the occasion.
