My husband is innocent says Aarushi's mother

New Delhi, May 24: On Saturday, Aarushi's mother speaks to media a day after her husband (Rajesh Talwar) was arrested for the murder of their 14-year-old daughter and domestic help. Nupur Talwar rejected police's claims and said Hemraj was like a 'father figure' to Arushi. She further told a TV channel that the two murders were the handiwork of an outsider, who was roaming free. "The killer is out there," said Nupur Talwar.

Nupur, a dentist by profession, also refuted allegations that her husband had killed Aarushi and servant Hemraj (45) to silence them over his extramarital affair with a fellow doctor, Anita Durani. "It is utter nonsense, baseless. I know from my heart it is not true." "Rajesh always doted on our daughter. It is not possible. We were such a close family. We had planned a birthday party today (May 24) for Aarushi," said Nupur, her face bereft of emotion. She also pleaded on what could have been Arushi's 15th birthday, adding that she had faith in the judiciary and that 'truth will prevail'.

Speaking to the media, Nupur Talwar said, "My life has completely collapsed, my normal life is completely destroyed. My husband is innocent." Lementing over her fate, she said, "Please pray for Aarushi's soul, Rajesh and my family."Aarushi would have been 15 today. A Class 9 student of Delhi Public School (Noida), she was found dead with her throat slit and multiple stab injuries on her face, chest and neck on May 16. She further said, "I have full faith in God an d judiaciary system. I know truth will prevail." "I will fight it out in the court for Rajesh. I will try my best to get justice for the family," Nupur said.

Meanwhile, Aarushi's father, Rajesh Talwar, moved a bail application in a Noida court citing health reasons. He is currently on 14 days judicial custody. The plea will come up for hearing on Monday.
