Kristal Group plans international consortiums

Kochi, May 24: Bangalore-based Kristal Group is planning to forge international consortiums to expand its footprint in Qatar and China. Speaking to reporters here, Group Chairman and CEO K K Namboodiri said the company was in the last stages to create a consortium with a company in Qatar to market off shore construction designs, interiors and products in Qatar.

The company was also in talks with a firm to take control of a manufacturing unit in the construction industry in China, he added. Mr Namboodiri said the company was launching its fourth construction project, Kristal Malachite, in the city, which would have apartments in an area of 1000 to 1600 sq ft priced between Rs 27 lakh and Rs 50 lakh.

The apartment complex would have premium two to three bedroom flats with facilities like club house, swimming pool, tennis and shuttle courts, party hall and children's area.

''The group was also launching its houseboat, Kristal Cauvery, mainly for the benefit of our clients for their investment, where in they would get an assured return of 13 per cent,'' Mr Namboodiri said.

The group had projects to the tune of Rs 1,200 crore in Kerala and the turnover in the State was Rs 120 crore last year.

Due to customer friendly schemes and policies of the Group, the company had grown into a global one with its presence in the US, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Bangalore, Mysore, Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kannur Coimbatore and Yercaud, he added.
