Congress appeals to TDP to stop complaining to EC

Hyderabad, May 24: The Andhra Pradesh Congress Legislature Party (APCLP) today urged the opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) to stop making complaints against the state government to the Election Commission (EC) during the campaigning for the May 29 by-elections.

According to a press release here, CLP Secretary S Gangaram and Executive member Sunitha Laxma Reddy alleged that the TDP was only concentrating on submitting memoranda to the Election Commission against the Chief Minister and ministers instead of focussing on its performance in the bypolls for 18 Assembly and four Lok Sabha seats.

''The TDP has forgotten its mass contact programme with the people. It is only giving priority to finding minor mistakes committed unintentionally by the state ministers, in its election campaign,'' the CLP leaders charged.
