BJP will form govt in K'taka: Shahnawaz
Hyderabad, May 24 (UNI) BJP Minority Morcha President Shahnawaz Hussain today claimed his party would form a government in Karnataka on its own.
Addressing the press here, he said the BJP would win majority of seats in Karnataka, where the results of the three-phase polls would be announced after counting tomorrow.
''We do not need any party's support to form a government.
The BJP will get an absolute majority,'' he claimed.
The former Union Minister said the BJP would not forge alliance with any political party in Andhra Pradesh in the general election next year. However, if any party comes forward, the BJP would take a decison on the alliance.
Exuding confidence that the party candidate would win the Musherabad Assembly seat in the May 29 by-election, the BJP leader alleged the UPA government at the Centre and ruling Congress in Andhra Pradesh, had failed to arrest the skyrocketing prices of essential commodities.
The BJP would continue its battle against price rise till the central government takes effective measures to control the price of essentials goods, he underlined.
