Bharamasagara receives 6 cm rain

Bangalore, May 24: Following is a summary of observations recorded by the weather office here at 0830 hours today.

Rainfall occurred at many places over Interior Karnataka and at a few places over Coastal Karnataka.

Chief amounts of rainfall (cm): Bharamasagara 6; Bellatti, Laxmeshwar, Srirampura, Agumbe, Koratagere 5 each; Mundagod, Gadag, B.Durga 4 each; Kundagol, Shiggaon, Koppal, Bagalkote, Dharwad, Hubli, Jayapura, Arkalgud, Nayakanahatti, Huliyurdurga, Tiptur 3 each; Mudibidre, Sulya, Siddapura, Kadra Tyagarthi, Kottigehara, Chikkanahalli, Hassan 2 each.

Maximum Temperatures fell at most places over North Interior Karnataka; st a few places over South Interior Karnataka and changed little over Coastal Karnataka. They were normal over the State, Raichur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 39.4 degree celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Monday morning: Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at a few places over Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over North Interior Karnataka.

Farmers Weather Bulletin: Light to moderate rain likely to occur at a few places over all districts of Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka and at isolated places over all the districts of North Interior Karnataka.

Outlook for subsequent two days: Decrease in rainfall is expected over Interior Karnataka and no significant change is expected over Coastal Karnataka.

Local forecast: Partly cloudy. Rain/thundershowers likely towards evening/night. Maximum temperature likely to be around 34 degree celsius.
