55 per cent polling reported in four booths
Gulbarga, May 24 (UNI) An estimated 55 per cent polling was reported in four booths of Gulbarga District where repolling was held to the Karnataka Assembly today.
The repolling was ordered by the Election Commission of India (ECI) following malfunctioning of the Electronic Voting Machines(EVM) during the third and final phase of the polling held on May 22.
Mallapur reported maximum polling of 77 per cent, followed by 64.4 in Wadi, 53.91 in Shiral, 52.5 in Thimapur and in Aurad Khed at Bidar District, 47 per cent.
Polling was peaceful and no untoward incident reported, police said.
