55 pc polling reported in Gulbarga District

Gulbarga, May 24 (UNI) An estimated 55 per cent polling was reported in four booths of Gulbarga District where replling was held to the Karnataka Assembly today.

The Repolling was ordered by the Election Commission of India(ECI) following mal-functioning of the Electronic Voting Machines during third and final phase of polling held on May 22.

While highest of 77 per cent polling reported in Mallapur, it was followed by 64.4 per cent in Wadi, 53.91 per cent in Shiral and 52.5 in Thimapur polling booth.

Polling was peaceful with no untoward incident reported, according to police.
