Two bomb threat calls prove to be a hoax
Ahmedabad, May 23 (UNI) Two anonymous bomb threat calls on the Shatabdi express and Karnavati Express turned out to be hoax calls after thorough checks were undertaken on both the Mumbai-bound trains today.
According to police, Railway authorities first received an anonymous call early this morning, saying a bomb had been planted on the Mumbai-bound Karnavati Express.
An elaborate dog and bomb squad inspection was undertaken but nothing was found. The train left at around 0530 hours for Mumbai.
Later, this afternoon agian one anonymous caller told railways authorities that a bomb had been planted on the Mumbai-bound Shatabdi Express.
After a detailed search by suitter dogs and bomb squads, it turned out to be hoax.
The Shatabdi Express was then allowed to leave for Mumbai. Police is investigating the matter.
