Six injured in DYFI march to Ashram in Kerala
Kannur, May 23 (UNI) Six people, including one police sub-inspector were injured when a DYFI march to an Ashram turned violent at Nayattuparamba in this district today.
The police had to burst two tear gas shells, when the lathicharge failed to disburse the violent activists, injuring four DYFI activists and two police men in the melee, sources said.
The incident took place when the 50-member DYFI activists pelted stones at police personal, when they stopped destroying the Swami Athma Chaithanya Puri Ashramam, owned by one Vinu swamy.
However, self-styled Swamy was away at Germany and Italy in connection with his tour programme.
