Noted dentist held for killing daughter, servant

Noida, Uttar Pradesh, May 23 (UNI) Police today arrested noted dentist Rajesh Talwar in the murder of his daughter and servant that created a stir in the national capital region.

Teenaged Delhi Public School (DPS) student Aarushi was found with her throat slit in her bedroom. Initially, the servant Hemraj (45) was suspected to be behind the murder, as he went missing.

The case took a new twist, when Hemraj was also spotted dead on the terrace a day later.

Dr Talwar, a well known dentist, was arrested this noon after preliminary investigations into the killings of the 14-year-old Aarushi and Hemraj, Inspector General (Meerut Range) Gurdarshan Singh told the media.

He was later produced in the court of Chief Judicial Magistrate (CJM) A K Singh who sent him under 14-day judicial custody.

Later, he was taken to Dasna Jail in Ghaziabad.
