Moser Baer posts Rs 78.90 cr loss in Q4 FY08

New Delhi, May 23 (UNI) Optical storage device maker Moser Baer today said it has posted a net loss of Rs 78.90 crore for the year ended March 2008 against a profit of Rs 109.78 crore the previous year.

Total income fell to Rs 2,001.72 crore from Rs 2,061.24 crore last year, a company statement said.

It added that its Board has given approval to its subsidiary, Moser Baer Solar PLC, to raise up to 150 million dollars.

The Group reported a net loss of Rs 202.28 crore for FY08 as against net profit of Rs 78.82 crore last year.

Net sales from operations for FY08 rose to Rs 2,070.01 crore from Rs 1,984.03 crore in FY07.

The company declared dividend of Re one on equity shares of Rs 10 each at 10 per cent for FY08.
