MIG-21 catches fire while landing

Darjeeling, May 23 : A MIG-21 aircraft caught fire in Darjeeling district while landing at Bagdogra airport on Friday morning.

Though the aircraft was damaged, the pilot was safe. A court of inquiry has been ordered.

Group Captain of Indian Air Force, Bagdogra, M K Dey, said the aircraft caught fire at 9:30 a.m. while returning from a routine sortie.
