Inflation is being witnessed in whole world: Scindia
Shivpuri, MP, May 23 (UNI) Union Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Jyotiraditya Scindia today said inflation is being witnessed not just in the country but across the world.
Mr Scindia told reporters here today that inflation reached 7.6 per cent during the previous National Democratic Alliance Government in 2001-02. Several factors had contributed to bringing inflation at present level.
''Inflation has rose across the world and it has affected the country also. The Centre has taken several steps to control inflation and its impact would be visible in the next two months,'' he said, adding that price of foodgrain, oil, steel and cement has risen sharply in the international market.
Replying to a question, Mr Scindia said broadband service would be available in all districts in the country by 2011. Towers would be established in Gwalior and Chambal divisions within a few months.
