Tirupati, May 23(UNI) Bharti Airtel Limited(BAL), India's leading integrated telecom services was planning to install PCS at free of cost in Tirumala, the abode of Lord Venkateswara.
Bharthi Airtel Mobile Services, AP, CEO, Elango told uni here today that the PCS will be installed at key identified places for the benefit of the pilgrims and they can call from it at free of cost.
It was a proposal and discussions were in progress with Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Executive Officer K V Ramanachary, he added.
When asked about poor mobile service at Tirumala, Mr Elango said it was true and required adequate space for installing more towers on hill atop.
The CEO said, BAL is possessing 61.98 million mobile customers as on March this year. The company was rated as one of the best 100 companies in the world by a leading business magazine last year.
