2 abducted for ransom

Morena(MP), May 23 (UNI) Two villagers were abducted by the gang of dreaded dacoit Panjab Singh Gurjar from Pahargarh area of this district last night and the gang sought ransom of Rs one lakh for their release, police said today.

Jaipal Rawat and Shriniwas Rawat, residents of Salampur village near Rampur, were returning to home from a temple along with six others when they were abducted.

The dacoits allowed six others to return to home, Superintendent of Police S K Singh said. The chief of the gang carried a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head, he added.
