Westside to expand retail network in 37 cities
Mumbai, May 22 (UNI) Tata Group's retail venture Trent Limited today announced that it will expand its retail network in 37 Tier-II and Tier-III cities over a period of five year under the brand name of 'Westside' through franchise route.
Through this route, Westside will open atleast one outlet in each city with an initial investment of Rs 2 crore and will be spread across an area of 10,000-12,000 sq ft, Trend Head-Marketing Neeti Chopra said here today.
The group is looking for potential partners in the cities including Allahabad, Patna, Guwahati, Dehradun, Madurai, Kolhapur, Jammu, Bareilly, Aligarh, Cochin, Pondicherry, Trivandrum and Salem, Ms Chopra said, adding, ''These cities has been identified on the basis of investment potential of the business community, consumption trends and spending potential of the consumers.'' Overall, the group plans to increase the numbers of its Westside retail outlets to 75 from present 30 stores across the country by the end of 2010, she added.
