Senior NTPC manager dead after falling in canal
New Delhi, May 22 (UNI) A senior manager of the National Thermal Power Project (NTPC) died after falling in a canal in Badarpur area of South Delhi today.
R K Garg, senior manager (efficiency) was working on the site in Badarpur and moving on the steps leading to the canal, when the accident occurred at around 1120 hrs, official sources said.
Mr Garg fell into the canal after the steps collaped, said eye witnesses.
Later, in a joint operation of the Delhi fire service, CISF and the flood department, his body was fished out of the canal after a six-hour-long search.
A resident of Noida, Mr Garg joined the NTPC in 1989.
