Police reluctant in dealing with quacks: CMO
Kanpur, May 22 (UNI) The Chief Medical Office (CMO) Dr V C Rastogi today expressed concern over the police apathy in dealing with take doctors mushrooming in the city.
Dr Rastogi said about 24 cases had been registered against quacks in Panki, Railbazar and Villahour police stations, but the police have done nothing so far.
Quoting earlier instances of deaths caused due to quacks, Dr Rastogi said health department had sealed 24 such clinics, where quacks were practising without proper degree or diploma, despite this police was reluctant to take any step against fake medical practitioners.
Three patients, including a minor girl, had died after falling under the hands of quacks last fortnight, he underlined.
