Kerala Govt not to infringe rights of aided schools
Thiruvananthapuram, May 22 (UNI) Assuring that the Government would never infringe upon the right of the management of aided schools in appointing teachers in their institutions, Kerala Education Minister M A Baby today suggested that the management should ensure minimum qualification of teachers while recruiting.
The Government had a clear stand ensuring the efficiency and quality of teachers. However, it would never take the right of the management in appointing teachers, he told reporters here.
The management should have a clear criteria in this regard and ensure the implementation of reservation policy, Mr Baby said, adding that the Government was taking necessary steps in this regard with the cooperation of the management.
Stating that the Government would stop the shift system in schools and teachers would be re-deployed, the Minister sought the cooperation of teachers associations in this regard.
He said the Government would distribute books to all students up to eighth standard, as against the current practice of providing the benefit only to girls.
