Etihad to launch operations to Kozhikode, Chennai

Kozhikode, May 22 (UNI) The Abu Dhabi-based Etihad will launch daily flight operations from Abu Dhabi to Chennai and Kozhikode from August one.

Flight EY250 would depart from Abu Dhabi at 2335 hrs and arrive at Karippur International Airport here at 0500 hrs the next day and the return flight EY251 would leave Karippur at 0545 hrs and arrive in Abu Dhabi at 0800 hrs, an Etihad release said here today.

The new Chennai service would operate flight EY266 on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing from Abu Dhabi at 0850 hrs and arriving in Chennai at 2430 hrs, it said.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, it would operate flight EY268, which would depart from Abu Dhabi at 1345 hrs and arrive in Chennai at 1925 hrs, it said.

On its return journey, flight EY267 would depart from Chennai on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1515 hrs and reach Abu Dhabi at 1745 hrs the same day.

On Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flight EY269 would leave Chennai at 2020 hrs and arrive in the UAE capital at 2250 hrs, the release said.

It would induct Airbus A320 with a capacity of 140 passengers, including 20 in business class, on both the routes, it said.

The airlines was also in the process of launching its operations to Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Bangalore and Hyderabad soon, it added.
