DOEACC to set up fifth centre in Northeast
Agartala, May 22 (UNI) To promote computer education among common people, internationally acclaimed Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses (DOEACC) under Ministry of Information Technology has decided to open its fifth study centre in Tripura in current academic session.
DOEACC officials here today said that it had four other computer learning institutions in northeastern states but the fifth centre in Agartala would facilitate e-learning technology and it would be recognised as regional centre.
DOEACC Society has been implementing a joint scheme of All India Council for Technical Education and Department of Information Technology to develop quality manpower in IT by utilising the expertise available with the computer training institutes which were granted accreditation for conducting specified levels of courses, subject to their meeting well-defined norms and criteria.
It was offering a basic course - Course on Computer Concepts (CCC) all over the country through its authorized Institutes conducting accredited courses in the private/public sector while DOEACC has its own 10 Centres in the country including four in Northeast, which offering Long Term Courses and Short Term Courses in the area of IECT.
DOEACC Society has launched ITES (Call Centre) Agents Training courses for the benefit of the students of North East with the financial support from the Department of Development of North Eastern Region (DONER), the officials added.
